The last thing you need when you comeback from holiday is a surprise costs, so imagine how I felt when I came back from Paris where I’d spent a two week holiday paying for everything on my bank debit card, unknowingly to me there was a fee for using your card abroad, so when checked my balance on return, I discovered there was less money than I thought, on further investigation I found out my bank had been charging me an extra fee, albeit small, each time I used my card to pay for something. Had I used a prepaid debit card, there wouldn’t have been any hidden charges. So I consider this a lesson learned.
