Victoria is an informal area within the city of London and is named after the Victoria of the UK. It is named after Victoria station surrounding by streets and luxury Victoria London hotels within. Those who have come here for holiday will definitely search for a good quality budget accommodation. Victoria has it all ranging from B&B to luxury 5 star hotel. Moreover, while looking for an accommodation tourist must always look for close by attractions, restaurants and shopping areas, in order to get complete entertainment.

Victoria is closely surrounded by various local attractions. Few of them are highlighted below:

· Jewel Tower:

It is one of the two surviving sections left of the medieval royal Palace of Westminster and the other being the Westminster Hall. This small three storey structure is constructed of stone standing across the road. English Heritage manages this ultimate gem containing an exhibition called “Parliament Past and Present” in the small vaulted rooms. It’s now turned into a museum.

· Tate Britain:

It is situated on the river Thames housing great collection of British art. This is the largest collection displaying works of art dating back from the 16th century. This wonderful gallery also hosts various internationally reclaimed events including the Turner Prize and various other gallery tours are organized. This attraction has plenty to discover for people of all age groups and interest.

· Houses of Parliament:

If you want to known one of the oldest representative assemblies in the world then it’s the UK Parliament. It is the oldest as it was originated in the 13th century. The UK residents and other tourists as well are allowed to take a tour of this ancient and historic attraction either in recess or during session. During the summer time pre book tours are also available. Originally it was served as a royal residence; however no monarch lived in it since the 16th century.

· Changing the Guard:

At the Buckingham Palace a guard changing ceremony takes place. It either takes place everyday of every other day which depends on the time of the year. The twelve mounted troops in their traditional costumes arrive from their barracks in the Hyde Park for this guard changing ceremony. This parade is quiet fascinating and people especially tourists are keen to watch this special ceremony. After the ceremony, the guard which mounts at the palace now is called The Queens Guard and is divided into two detachments.

These are quiet a few attractions which tourists are always keen to watch as and when they are in Victoria.
