I live in the St. Petersburg area along the West coast of Florida. It is considered the 'Sailing capital of the south'. One of the parks here, Ft. Desoto, was recently designated one of the top beaches in the U.S. The Skyway bridge affords a great view of Tampa Bay. We have some very good seafood restaurants here, such as Crabby Bills and Leverocks.
Did a weekend barefoot cruise to Snead Island exploring the history and natural surroundings. It's a great weekend escape and very peaceful. No crowds!
I am interested in returning to Italy and California. Have visited Florence, as well as San Diego and Sausalito. In the meantime, have learned more about other areas in Italy and CA, especially the Amalfi coast and along the coastline of CA. There's alot of boating there and wherever there's sailng, I'll go!
