We recently spend a week touring the South East of Ireland. We decided to base ourselves in Carlow Town.
We stayed at a four star B&B called Avlon House.
Avlon House is one of the top rated B&B's in the locality. We immediately knew why as the owner was very professional in his attention to detail.He immediately asked what we would like to see and do while in the area. He gave us a list of attractions and also a list of restaurants / pubs for our evenings out.The food at Avlon was excellent. The breakfast kept us going well into the afternoons. The Irish fried breakfast is really something to behold.
The area is know in Ireland as the sunny south east. Given the time of year was not not very sunny, but it was most enjoyable. We would certainly retuen to the area as there is lots to see, and definitely retuen to Avlon House.
