Egypt in February is miraculous. Unlike almost any other time of year, it's cool there. Nice. Only about 75F during the day, and so cool you need a sweater at night. While visiting Egypt in February, we were surprised to find that Valentine’s Day is extremely popular in Egypt, with street vendors hawking huge baskets filled with giant pink teddy bears and pounds of chocolate, flower bouquets in garish colors and red mylar “I love you” balloons. Valentine’s Day has become huge in Egypt in recent years, and indeed, it seemed to outdo even the States in its hues of pink shininess everywhere we looked.
During the days, you can visit the temples at any time without worrying about the hot weather - in my 10 years of traveling there, I found out it's much easier to listen when you aren't worried you might faint from the heat. So I was really able to focus on our Egyptologist, who was lecturing at each temple about the many wonderful things we were seeing. It's also great to get to go privately - we do vocalization in each temple to awaken the temple's energy - for a couple of the temples, we have to go with other tourists, and the difference is profound. It's like the stones come to life when you approach them with reverence.
We return in December, and again in February - come join us! www.spiritquesttours.com
