A visit to Singapore Botanic Gardens


Singapore botanic garden is a decent tourist attraction both for tourists and local residents. The gardens have a rich combination of botanical and horticultural history making them attractive spot for nature lovers.

Singapore botanic garden is a decent tourist attraction both for tourists and local residents. The gardens have a rich combination of botanical and horticultural history making them attractive spot for nature lovers.


Activities


  • Events : Botanic gardens have hosted many cultural events such as Singapore arts festival which was hosted at Raffles Place Park and Singapore Drunfest which was held at Fort Canning Park. The events were successful and had drawn good number of visitors to be a part of the event.


  • Dining : You can enjoy good food here. Try mouth watering goodies at al fresco dining or dine alongside pond at Punngol Park, have a romantic dinner at Beaulieu House nestle deep within Sembawang Park or enjoy great eateries, pubs and restaurants at East coast park.


  • Photography: You can enjoy capturing precious moments spent with your loved ones. Whether you are a professional photographer or a nature lover, the beautiful sights of nature's biodiversity will be great fun while you capture them in your camera.


Operating hours and Charges


  • The gardens are open from 5.00 am to 12 midnight. Admission to the Botanic Gardens is free.


  • National Orchid Garden opens from 8.30 am to 7.00 pm. Admission charges are $5-00 for adults, and $1-00 for students and senior citizens above 60 years. Admission is free for children (12 and below).


  • Jacob Ballas Children's Garden is open from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm daily and are closed on Mondays except designated public holidays. Admission to the Children's Garden is free.

it is most popular tourist spot in singapore. Actually Singapore is ultra modern. but garden and parks are well maintained and cleaned one. it is very suitable for kids, families and Friends in singapore Jul 26, 2010
